1. Your Content and Responsibility

You own all your content on Shorthand (handwritten notes, transcriptions, and any synced data). All your data is stored locally on your device, and we do not have access to it. We respect your privacy and cannot access or share your content.

You are responsible for the content you create and store in Shorthand and any harm it may cause. Please avoid creating or storing anything illegal, harmful, or infringing on others' rights.

2. Our Services

We strive to provide Shorthand as a reliable and secure app for syncing handwritten notes with Notion and performing on-device transcriptions. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

We may modify, update, or discontinue Shorthand, in whole or in part, at any time. We will try to give you reasonable notice if possible through app store updates or other means.

3. User Security

You are responsible for keeping your device and Shorthand app secure. We recommend using device-level security features like passcodes and biometric authentication.

While we take reasonable measures to ensure the app's security, you acknowledge that no software is completely secure. We encourage you to maintain backups of your important data, especially when using Notion sync.

4. Intellectual Property

Shorthand and its underlying technology are protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of Shorthand without our permission.

5. Data Privacy

We do not collect or store your personal data or content. Any data you create in Shorthand is stored locally on your device. For more information about how we handle data, including Notion sync and on-device processing, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

6. Termination

You may stop using Shorthand at any time. To completely remove your data, you can delete the app from your device. If you have enabled Notion sync, you may also need to manage or delete the synced content in your Notion workspace.

7. Disclaimer and Warranties

Shorthand is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not responsible for any damages arising from the use of Shorthand, including data loss, transcription inaccuracies, or interruption of service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bleep LLC and its affiliates from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of Shorthand.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms of Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any changes through app updates or other appropriate means. Your continued use of Shorthand after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
